Celebrity Auction

On Feb. 4, the museum hosted a soup supper fund-raiser at the Methodist Church in Stafford. The event was well-attended and very successful. An anonymous donor matched the first $1000 that came in donations that evening, dollar for dollar. That anonymous $1000 donation kicks off fund-raising for the next phase of the old Farmers National Bank building renovation.

The museum also concluded their Celebrity Auction that night. It brought in $624. Most items were won locally, but there were winning bids from Oregon and Wyoming. The most sought after item was a baseball autographed by Stan Musiel, with frenzied bidding continuing right up to the cut-off time at 7 p.m.

The museum would like to thank everyone who participates in the Book TALKS and everyone who made the soup supper and Celebrity Auction such a great success.
